A few points to consider, how websites get priced – things to look out for and general advice to make sure you have the best experience getting a new website designed for your business.

1 – How long does it take to design a new website.

Most sites can be designed in under a week and completely built within 14 days. So long as we have content and images to work from. The only thing that can hold up the design process is the speed at which you can approve proofs we send for sign off. Designs we work with you on revisions as they come together, to make sure that your website looks exactly how you want it to.

2 – What platform will my website run on?

Again, keeping things simple – the current weapon of choice for most websites in terms of content management systems is WordPress. It’s easy to use once completed, they do tend to rank favourably in the search engines, and they’re quick to build and run efficiently. Most important, if you want to make changes to the website once it’s completed, it’s easy to do so without additional cost.

3 – What support is there once a website is built?

We support all new sites and make sure they’re solid, well coded and run efficiently. We also offer website maintenance packages which you are free to choose from. This is in the same way you would have your car serviced, we can do routine website maintenance, or you can choose when you’d like us to run over your website and update any plugins an give it a general service to make sure it stays working to it’s best potential.

Once we know what you need, we’ll offer a complete fixed price web design cost so you know going in what your new website will cost without worrying about those costs increasing as the design and build progresses.

6 – Do you charge extra during the project or are there any hidden costs?

Great question and one most are anxious of – simply put – no! Unless you change the scope and decide you want 10 pages instead of 5 for example, then no, we don’t ever change the scope and proposal costs. If there is an occasion where you request something extra after the project starts, then we’ll have a chat about if it will increase the time and if it’s considered an addition to scope.

So in short, so long as the scope stays the same from the initial quote, then the price quoted is the absolute price you’ll pay.

7 – Will my website be secure?

As best we can! We lead in a range of security factors, from server security, content management auto lockdown for any repeated attacks, as well as built in firewalls and some other key points. All our sites have SSL secure certification as well, something that used to be a luxury and extra expense we put in as standard

8 – Will my website look good on mobile phones and other smaller devices?

Responsive web design is not a chargeable extra with us, it’s just part of good design. We design all our new websites with this in mind and responsive design so you look good across all devices is included – no extras, just good practice!

9 – What if I have a problem after my website is built?

11 – Do I have to have all the content and pictures or do you handle that?

We do both! If you have images and content you want on the new website then of course we can work from your instruction. Again with our proof and revision process this will all be detailed through the design so you can check it all out before you go online.

12 – Will you disappear after it’s built?

No! We’ve been in business over 15 years and this is a real common fear from those setting foot online. Common question this, we’ve done website re-designs from other agencies and we’ve seen some shockers! With our proof and revision process we don’t ever build anything you don’t like! You get full proofs of the pages prior to the build, so if you don’t like something, we’ll re-design your current website to your liking and make sure you’re completely happy with how your new website will look before we build it.

14 – How do I avoid being ripped off?

That covers things like your domain name, emails, server and hosting, database, content management system and everything in-between. This is a once a year anniversary cost to keep things running. Some agencies and design companies charge a monthly fee on top of this to access your website content management system or other add on charges. We don’t do anything of the sort and stick to this yearly cost so you know going forward the cost of your website being online 24/7, 365 days a year.
